Xero's New AI Integrations Transform Financial Workflows
At Xerocon US on 19 August, Xero announced major AI integrations designed to embed live financial data into everyday productivity tools. The platform now connects with Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's ChatGPT, alongside Microsoft 365 Copilot, giving small business owners and accountants seamless access to their financial information.
Claude Integration: Thousands of Xero customers are already using Claude daily to query live Xero data. The integration allows team members to ask natural language questions about cash flow, outstanding invoices, and expenses without leaving the Claude interface.
ChatGPT Integration: Xero's OpenAI connector is rolling out as a ChatGPT plugin across Chat, Work, and Codex in the coming weeks, letting users leverage live Xero data throughout their ChatGPT workflows.
Microsoft 365 Expansion: Xero is extending its Microsoft 365 Copilot integration (announced in July) into Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Copilot Cowork, embedding live financial charts and tables directly into business documents.
