Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your personal data, in plain English.
Last updated: 8 June 2026
Beacon & Ledger Consulting Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we store it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to visitors to this website and to people who get in touch with us.
Who we are
Beacon & Ledger Consulting Ltd is a company registered in England & Wales (Company No. 16537737), based in Birmingham and working with clients UK-wide. We are the "data controller" for the personal data described in this notice.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZC007396.
What data we collect
- Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and business name, when you book a call, complete our contact form, or email us.
- Message content: anything you choose to tell us about your business and your needs.
- Marketing preferences: your email address and consent status if you subscribe to our newsletter or download a resource.
- Website usage data: anonymous, aggregated analytics such as pages viewed and approximate traffic source (see "Cookies and analytics" below).
- Server logs: our hosting provider processes technical data, including IP address, to serve the site securely and prevent abuse.
Why we collect it and our legal basis
- To respond to enquiries and arrange calls: on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to you.
- To provide our services: where you become a client, on the basis of our contract with you (governed by a separate engagement letter).
- To send marketing emails: only where you have given consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To improve our website: on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. Our analytics are anonymous and cookieless.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations: including anti-money-laundering and tax record-keeping requirements that apply to accountants.
Cookies and analytics
This website runs Google Analytics 4 in cookieless mode. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not require a cookie consent banner because no personal identifiers are stored on your device for analytics. IP addresses are anonymised. Essential cookies may be set by embedded third-party tools (for example, the Calendly booking widget) only when you interact with them.
How we store and protect your data
Your data is stored securely with reputable service providers (listed below) who maintain appropriate technical and organisational security measures. We restrict access to personal data to those who need it to do their job, and we keep it only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out above or to meet our legal obligations (for accounting records, this is typically a minimum of six years).

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent) are in place.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
